About Holy Resurrection Monastery
Founded in 2014 under the Romanian Episcopate of the Orthodox Church in America, the monastery is home to a growing brotherhood of monks dedicated to prayer and worship. Our mission is to bear witness to the life-giving Resurrection of Christ through a life centered in liturgical prayer, silence, manual labor, charity, and welcoming of guests. We invite you to come and visit us and explore the rhythms of Orthodox monastic life. Please come and visit us in person to share in the peace and presence of God that defines our daily life.
Prayer
Here at the monastery, we offer daily prayers for the world, lifting every soul before God in quiet intercession and solemnity towards Him.
Worship
The heartbeat of our monastery is the Divine Liturgy and the daily cycle of services, where glorify God through sung chant.
Ascetic Labor
Through manual work done in humility, especially in our orchard and grounds, we sanctify time and cultivate discipline of soul, body, and focus on Jesus Christ.
Hospitality
All are welcomed, Orthodox and Non Orthodox to visit this peaceful place to experience the rhythm of monastic life. Typically there is a common meal once to twice per day.
